Cohoes Honors Late Mayor With Elderly Housing Tower
The Cohoes Housing Authority broke ground on a 100 unit high rise for the elderly to be named the Dr. Jay McDonald Tower. CHA chairman Frank E. Himes Jr. announced the ribbon cutting and demolition of existing structures by L Haske and Sons as part of the project begun Friday. Acting Mayor Frank D. Colaruotolo called the project one of the late mayor Dr James E McDonald's favorite efforts.

A masquerade record dance will be held in the Sacred Heart Church Hall this evening from 7:30 to 10:30 for students in grades seven to nine. Prizes will be awarded for the weirdest prettiest funniest and best all around costumes. Refreshments will be served.

Six Persons Appear In Cohoes Traffic Court
Six individuals faced Cohoes Police Court on various traffic violations. Wilfred L. Desnoyers paid ten dollars for speeding after a prior summons. Harry A. Latham Route 9 Crash Injures Cohoes Residents
Three Cohoes residents were injured when two cars collided on Route 9 at Bunker Avenue in Latham. George W. Seeberger, 31, Mary J. McCormick, 31, and Annabelle H. McCormick, 73, were treated by their own physicians. Bechard and Ciejka pleaded guilty to muffler violations and received summonses or fines.
