Dr Connors traced the day’s origin, urged peace efforts and honoring all who served, including wounded. Brig Gen Charles Phumsey led the parade, with Mayor Rudolph Roulier presiding at West End Park. Other rites occurred at Hiker Monument and Northside Bridge.
