June Tire Quota Remains Short for All Needs
The District OPA reports a 20 percent rise in passenger car tire quotas for next month in Rensselaer County but warns the increase will cover only about 40 percent of applications. War workers and essential users take priority while less essential drivers must wait. Small truck and tractor tires receive a 5 percent boost, while large truck tires stay unchanged. Removal of Grade 3 tires from the quota does not lift rationing requirements for buyers.
