Sisters Resettle after Convent Fire in 1901
The text details the Sisters of the Congregation building new convent facilities in 1882 with 450 children served, followed by a devastating fire on December 31, 1901 that destroyed the convent and school within an hour. After the blaze, Sisters moved to the Mother-house and temporary quarters, while the Sister Superior stayed at the Troy convent to teach catechism on Sundays.
