Joel Redlich a 16 year old of 548 Jefferson Court Guilderland apparently fell into the Normanskill Creek last Friday His body was found Sunday by two canoeists The Albany County coroner ruled asphyxiation due to drowning after autopsy and stated the boy had emotional problems expressed by his father to police The search involved local police sheriff and state police with bloodhounds and a helicopter but was halted at dusk Saturday

Mammoth parade in Colonie draws 100000 to Wolf Road

A two ending elephant parade on Wolf Road drew an estimated 100000 spectators. Traffic delays and packed streets followed as the Ringling Bros show approached Troy’s RPI Fieldhouse. No serious incidents reported. sponsors were Capital Newspapers Group of Albany.
