Everton prisoner of war son released after capture in Germany
Released Pic Donald RB Everton, son of Mr and Mrs William G Everton of Thompson Street, was a prisoner of war in Germany. He was reported missing in action December 8 and captured last month. Entered service October 1943, went overseas April 1944, took part in the invasion of France. A Troy High School graduate, he played baseball and was in the school band and later worked for Behr-Manning Corp. His brother S/Sgt William Everton serves with a field hospital in Belgium.
