Guerrillas Ready to Aid Second Front in Europe
Allied refugee government sources say more than 500000 guerrilla fighters could be rallied to strike Nazi rear areas and disrupt key communications if an Allied invasion of southern Europe occurs. Yugoslav, Greek, Albanian, Bulgarian, and Romanian bands are coordinating with Mihailovic and Balkan forces to seize airfields and cut routes from Belgrade to Solun, enhancing transport and offensive capacity for the Allies.
