Substitute teacher questions hiring at Averill Park board

Doris Traschen pressed the Averill Park School Board to disclose why she was not chosen for a high school social studies vacancy as the other candidate, who was appointed, held a sabbatical. The board also approved the 1977-78 budget tentative figure of 6,564,102 with a separate 60,000 for three new buses, ratified a teachers contract, and asked Poestenkill to add street lights at Algonquin School Driveway intersections.
