A Klan rally attracted about a thousand white supporters from Georgia and nearby states to Slane Mountain, with a turnout exceeding a thousand spectators. Jailed for Thefts From Troy Store
Mrs. Lucille Clark, 34, with a long criminal record dating to 1921, pleaded guilty to petit larceny in Troy Police Court and received a thirty day sentence in Rensselaer County Jail. Detectors arrested her Thursday for stealing a handbag from W. T. Grant Co. Three more handbags, a suitcase, and women’s apparel were found in her room. She will be turned over to state correction officials for parole violation after jail term. Her record includes forgery with a five year prison sentence in 1933 and prior larceny cases.
