Francis B. Fitzgerald son of Mr and Mrs Frank Fitzgerald is on a 30 day leave after serving as a first lieutenant for 16 months as navigator of a Liberator bomber in the South Pacific. He holds the Air Medal and Oak Leaf Clusters and wears two overseas service bars. Lieutenant Fitzgerald flew with the Thirteenth Air Force and led bombing missions including Yap Tadji New Guinea and the Philippines. His brother Richard Fitzgerald serves with the 66th Infantry Division in Germany.
