Family of five perished in Circleville farmhouse fire
A Circleville farm tenant family of five died in an early morning blaze that destroyed their rental house 12 miles northwest of town. Victims: Leonard Estep 28 his wife Frances 26 and children Jean 6 Beverly 4 and Jose Lee 17 months. Neighbors found the fire around 5 am and alerted the Circleville Fire Department. Deputies later removed bodies from the debris.

iFuel Oil and Kerosene Prices Fall Nationwide
Several area oil firms announced small price cuts in fuel oil and kerosene. Tank wagon fuel oil fell from 116 to 111 cents a gallon with a wholesale drop about a half cent.
