Hearing Delayed for Man Charged With Theft and Burglary
Joseph Hayes of Taylor Apts charged with burglary first degree and petty larceny for allegedly stealing whisky from Red Front Restaurant at 71 73 Division St. He was remanded to Rensselaer County Jail for an adjourned hearing in Troy Police Court. Officer George T. Butler handled the arrest and Atty. Paul Morgan represents Hayes.

Robert J Moore Sr longtime Troy Water Bureau employee died at his home 416 4th St. He lived in the South End and belonged to St Josephs Church Holy Name Society and St Vincent de Paul Society. Survived by widow Elizabeth McGuinness two daughters Sister M Josepha and Mrs Marjorie Meyer two sons John B Moore and Joseph Moore two sisters and a brother. Funeral Friday at 9 am from home, Solemn Requiem Mass 9 30 am at St Josephs Church. Interment St Josephs Cemetery.

Troy Youth Pays $150 Traffic Penalty in Court
Troy youth Edward Munhall 21 of 695 Burden Ave paid 150 in fines for unregistered vehicle and unlicensed operation. Justice Daly imposed 75 for each charge, with 150 days jail option avoided by payment. Munhall had been arrested after a routine traffic check found an unvalidated New Hampshire license and no vehicle registration.

Adirondack Authority Membership Up in Senate Bill
A bill from the Senate Rules Committee proposes increasing Adirondack Mountain Authority membership from five to eight. Current trustees include James EF Rocne Whitehall Hamilton H Traver Lake George Harold B Burton Keene Valley A Richard Cohen Old Forge and Galineau R Pond Malone. The Authority controls the Veterans Memorial Highway to Whiteface Mountain and the skiing center there. Other measures include criminalizing unsanctioned fundraising by professional fund raisers and unregistered charities and allowing child support deductions as ordered by a Children's Court judge.
