Russian Again Calls Arrest Political Plot
Russian engineer Valentin Gubitchev faced arraignment with a charge of espionage and refused counsel claiming diplomatic immunity. Judge Rifkind entered a not guilty plea for him and set April 1 for trial alongside co defendant Judith Coplon. Bail remained at $100,000 and court dismissed court appointed counsel Fowler Hamilton.
