Control Yuan probes Bun over Shamghai sale to Central Bank
Indictment filed against Bun alleges approval of selling the Shamghai residence to the Central Bank of China for an excessive price. The charge, raised by legislative members, helped spur the resignation of Bun’s cabinet last week. Bun remains nominal head of a ten man presidential committee drafting peace proposals for submission to the Communists. General Ho Ting-chis is expected to take over premier duties soon. Bun and Chiang ally Bun Tong are cited sharing views on China’s neutral stance amid growing Soviet bloc talk.
