Veterans Group Forms In Lansingburg Aims For 1000 Members

A veterans organization gathered Friday at 10 O F Hall 12th Street in Lansingburg to form a nucleus aimed at 1000 members by May. George D. MacCulloch served as temporary cosman and Andrew J. Smith Jr was named permanent chair. Committees from Five wards will act as an executive group for the Fifteenth Sixteenth and Seventeenth wards. Charter memberships will be taken for ninety days with goal of 1000 enrollments. An executive meeting at Odd Fellows Hall will draft by laws and plan permanent quarters. Next general meeting Friday will formalize the organization.
