Bids On Five Fire Radios For Countywide System
County purchasing agent Joseph Humes says sealed bids will be opened next Thursday at 11 am at the Court House for five two way radios for ambulances and fire trucks. John Leary notes the radios will equip 40 county fire companies with essential gear, leaving Taborton and Hoosick Valley as the only lacking units. Federal Civil Defense funds half the cost, while the three receiving fire companies and the county cover the remainder for ambulance radios.
