Change In Administration Of Court Personnel Seen By LIVINGSTON JONES
A plan to shift non judicial court personnel from Rensselaer County Civil Service to the Administrative Board of the Judicial Conference would apply state standards and affect payroll classifications for County, Supreme, Surrogate and Family courts and the Probation Department. A meeting at the Courthouse discussed the transfer and its impact, with invited court clerks, probation director, county officers and board members present. The change follows the Unified Court System effective September 1, 1962, extending Administrative Board authority over all courts.
