Man Admits Killing Wife And Burying Infant Alive

A year-old inmate told police a gruesome confession that he shot his wife and buried their month-old daughter alive. Charles F. Holober of Waddington, unemployed son of a jeweler, confessed after his arrest near Beaubin. Bodies were found in a moonlit grave on a Virginia nudist camp grounds. He said the gun jammed during the killing and that he buried the infant alive to “get rid” of his wife who had nagged for money. The case ends a three-day search and reveals a shocking motive amid a winter camp disappearance.
