Nazi Officer Admits Guilt In Slaughter
Hart Herstam reports that Frank, former Nazi state secretary for Bohemia Moravia, confessed to guiding the reprisal slaughter of Czechoslovaks after Heydrich's assassination. He claimed only 150 to 2,000 were killed, disputing higher estimates. A seventy page signed confession was presented to support extradition to Czechoslovakia for trial. The document emerged after seven days of questioning, with Frank captured by the ELS Seventh Army in May. The case centers on decrees signed by Prague officials. A secondary note mentions a July picnic planned by Star of Liberty Chapter QES with date to be announced.
