Fire at former Dee fraternity house on Hoo sick Street
Firefighters were summoned by telephone at 3 39 am to the ruins of the former Dee fraternity house on Hoo sick Street. The blaze followed an earlier wrecking by flames Monday morning. A 100 foot hose stream was used and crews remained about two hours at the scene.

Ninth Street Man Wounded in Italian Battle
Army private Robert T. O’Brien of 283 Ninth Street was wounded in action on the Italian front in June. Parents Mr and Mrs Edward A O’Brien have been advised by the War Department. He has been overseas since February and recuperating in an Italian hospital. Before service he worked for Marshall Eclipse and attended Central High School. Two brothers also serve.
