Nightriders Targeted by Policing Drive in New York

Firemen Report May With Just Three Calls

Hoosick Falls Fire Department handled three calls in May with two alarms in 24 hours on May 27 and 28. A residence fire on Abbott Street and a barn fire on Ball Street were reported plus a gasoline leak flush on Main Street. The department conducted four outdoor drills and joined in two parades while drivers handled 72 police and 29 Rescue Squad radio calls and alerted three manufacturing firms when station alert systems tripped. Equipment at the station was described as in excellent condition by Fire Committee Chairman Howard F. Wright.
