Troy High Graduates Told To Have Faith
Troy High School marked its 99th graduation with 267 diplomas awarded in the gym. Two related industrial certificates went to graduates. 22 earned two year certificates and six four year course graduates also received industrial certificates. Speaker Virginia A. Menz urged a renewed emphasis on the arts and a unifying faith, while salutatorian Carolyn M. Boehringer stressed determination tempered by love, courage and tolerance.

Two Traffic Cases In Police Court
In Troy Police Court two traffic cases were heard yesterday. Richard Cooper of Keene forfeited a $25 bail after failing to appear on a speeding charge. Frank L. Banker of 263 8th St. was fined $10 for running a red light.

Youth Receives $2000 Award for Teefh Injury
A Troy youth, John J. O’Keefe Jr., 16, was awarded 2000 under a settlement approved by Supreme Court Justice Herbert D. Hamlin. The $1400 for injuries and $600 for dental bills followed a Dec. 14, 1953 incident at Sth Avenue and Jefferson Street when pipes from a passing truck struck his mouth, fracturing several teeth. The case was against truck owner William J. Kkehn.
