Mud Lake House Damaged by Fire On Thursday
A dwelling at Mud Lake on Snyder's Corner Poesteinkill Row was vacant since Thursday afternoon when flames broke out. Fire Chief Mere French of Poestenkill said the blaze grew briskly before Pine Department units extinguished it after a two hour battle. The rear woodshed and part of the roof were destroyed. Wynantakill volunteers aided briefly before withdrawal. The house had been occupied until Thursday by a resident who recently moved in September. Harold Hadeliff led the induction minutes and Marl I. Rayinot presided.
