Artaign Area Man On Sur Charge
James H. Niland Jr., 42, of RD 1 Meehanicville, was arraigned before U.S. Commissioner John H. Spain in Troy on charges of illegal possession and operation of a still and possession of distilled spirits with no federal tax stamp. Bail set at $1,000. awaiting federal grand jury action. State Police and federal agents raided a Stillwater town location where the still was found. John J. Whitty of the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax Division led the investigation.

Women's Guild Plans Food Sale For St Michael's
The Women's Guild of St Michael's Church plans a food sale to benefit the Jewish Home for the Aged. The sale will be held at Woolworth's store on upper Tibbits Avenue Saturday from 2 to 4 PM. Troy residents Milton Symansky Jerald Goldberg were named to the board of directors of the Jewish Home for the Aged Inc at the annual meeting. several others reelected. Donations may be left at the church hall Friday from 7 to 9 PM.
