Camp Barker to Open for Boys Season At Troy Area Camp
Camp Barker, a longtime boys’ camp near the Troy area, will open for a season from June 30 to Aug 23 with four camping periods. Enrollment expected 75 to 80 per period, total season 200 to 320. Camp runs via Camp Barker Committee led by Charles A. Freihofer and Ronald B. Milbard to raise 18000 for attendance costs. Recognition of friends after 58 years as Frederick J. Keares and Hattie Schwarting recall meeting on a city bus in 1903.

Dr Henry F Albrecht Sr 74 dies at Sand Lake
Dr Henry F Albrecht Sr 74 longtime La Salle physician died at Sand Lake after a long career beginning in Green Island. He practiced in Sand Lake for decades, aided Pawling Sanitarium work, and served in local medical societies. Survived by wife Mary Alice Quinn two sons Dr Henry F Albrecht Jr of Troy and Dr Robert M Albrecht of Sand Lake a daughter Mrs Robert L Buck of Plattsburg, sister and brothers, eleven grandchildren. Funeral in Averill Park St Henrys Church with Solemn Requiem Mass. Burial at Howry’s Cemetery.

Wallet Found By Pedestrian Returns to Owner
A pedestrian observed a wallet on a sidewalk and handed it to police. Officers traced the owner, returned the wallet, and included a $10 reward to the finder, Robert Griswold.
