Apparel Price Study Under Way
A survey of all women and children's wearing apparel in Troy states is being made by the price panel staff of the local War Price and Rationing Board. Ordered by the OPA, the report sheet covers each merchant's price ceiling on all types of apparel. The effort aims to check inflation, monitor quality, and provide low priced goods while preventing wasteful production of luxury items. The OPA committee urges standards and enhanced clothing division activity, pre-ticketing by manufacturers, and efforts to establish dollar and cent prices.
