RPI Man Receives Grant for Light Scattering Study
The National Science Foundation, via director Try Alan JT Walgrman, awards Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute a 19400 grant to fund two years of research by Dr. Greenberg and associates on light and atomic particle scattering. The work aims to identify constituents of interstellar matter that absorb and redden starlight, studying scattering by particles about one inch thick using 3 centimeter microwaves in controlled lab experiments.
