New York Poised to Lead in National Air Transport Growth
Washington report notes New York could be among the leaders in expanding domestic air transport. Rep Jennings Handolph of West Virginia argues for extending air service to 245 smaller Empire State communities awaiting Civil Aeronautics Board action. He calls the U S air transport system the world’s best but insufficient to meet future needs. Coast to coast, CAB applications seek to extend service to 25 more communities from coast to coast as residents push to embrace air travel.
