Silver Bloc Raises Price of Government Silver Stock

Congress boosted the legal price of U S Treasury free silver from 48.69 to 71 cents per ounce affecting about 13.5 million ounces. The move shifts the value of stock from 633 million to 924 million dollars, aims to back silver certificates, and ties to Senator Theodore Francis Green and Rhode Island Connecticut jewelry interests. The rise removes a price ceiling and complicates any downward move on domestic silver prices.
