West Milton Atom Waste Plan Okayed
The Mohawk River Advisory Committee approved environmental health safety and waste disposal plans for re operation of land based naval atomic reactor prototype at West Milton. The Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory under the US Atonte Energy Commission develops nuclear powered propulsion for naval use. The West Milton site covers about 4401 acres in Saratoga County near Galway Millon and Ballston Spa. The S4G reactor prototype includes a horizontal 29 ft long cylindrical steel hull with end closures. The committee reviews studies and hearings of KAPL plans since 1952.

Brothers Reunited After 45 Years Separate Tale
Two brothers, Charles Topola of Troy New York and Salas Hilo of La Plata Argentina, reunited after 45 years apart. Topola, a leather goods maker in La Plata, had lived in Troy since 1915 and served in the Belgian Army in WWI. A five year old Saratoga Springs girl was hit Tuesday when she darted from behind a parked car into the path of a car driven by Mrs. Mahion Poukish on Nelson Street. She suffered a head injury and was listed in serious condition at Saratoga Hospital.
