300 Elephants Gathered In Troy Home Collection
Mrs. Betty Connolly of 157 Seventh Ave. has built a 300 piece elephant statuette collection over 15 years. Gifts from family and friends, foreign souvenirs, and items from Greenwich Village fill her living room display. The range spans from nickel figures to hand carved Italian pieces, with favorites including a trunk raised laughing elephant. She notes dusting as the main challenge and jokes about local politics in Troy.
