Greenwich Receives $30,000 Under Will Funds for Village
Grant J. Tet announced that the village of Greenwich will receive about 27.00 under the will of the late Gropps Mackenzie, a former furniture dealer. The funds come from a trust set up by Mackenzie in 1924 to benefit his daughter until her death. The daughter died in Canada last October, delaying probate in Albany County. The village must vote on the plan to use the money, with the board allowed to propose and submit a specific disposal plan to voters. Wartime delays may postpone any construction plans until after the war.
