Lawyers quarrel at trial of Von Papen
In Nurnberg Germany attorneys argued over the authenticity of a purported will of Paul von Hindenburg during the denazification trial of Franz von Papen. The court restored order after tensions in the gallery. Von Papen testified he drafted a proposed will for the late president and said he handed two envelopes to Hindenburg’s son, with one allegedly opened to Hitler. The case follows Papen’s acquittal on war crimes charges last November.
