Alliance Hears Talk On Algiers 1943 by Guilloton
Professor Vincent Guilloton of Smith College spoke at Alliance Française at 82 First Street about Algiers 1943 and the French Committee of Liberation. He described de Gaulle as a symbol of the resistance and said the Allied invasion would empower the French forces. He noted Britain and the United States have not fully recognized this element while Russia has. He said de Gaulle would lead France after defeat of Germany if elected by the people.
