Men's Club to View World Series Films at Trinity Church
The Lansingburg Men's Club of Trinity Episcopal Church will meet tomorrow at 8 p.m. in the parish hall. Leroy Lenter, president, will conduct a brief business session followed by World Series films and novelty acts. Refreshments and social hour will conclude the evening. all church men and boys are invited.

Area Episcopal Rectors Named Honorary Canons
Two area Episcopal rectors and a former resident of Green Island were named honorary canons of the Cathedral of All Saints Albany by Bishop Frederick L. Barry. New canons include Rev. Irving Rouillard, Rev. C. W. Kling, and Rev. George E. B. Da Mille. Rev. Charles E. Hill was also appointed honorary canon. The cathedral staff includes Rev. G. Hurst Barrow and Rev. Michael R. Becker. The new canons will be enthroned in the cathedral today.

Bathing Beach Proposal Prompts Castletown Hearing
More than two hundred residents of Castleton and nearby areas attended a hearing on a proposed privately operated bathing beach to be built on the water supply watershed. Edward Nussbaum seeks to dam a stream to feed an artificial pool with chlorination and claims it would keep water usable. Officials and group representatives said state rules require equipment not currently available, delaying any decision indefinitely while costs are reviewed.

Rensselaer Woman Pinioned by Runaway Truck Incident
Miss Shirley George, 17, of Partition Street, Rensselaer, was struck and pinned against the Van Dyk hardware store porch by a runaway Morgan Linen Co. truck sliding downhill on Partition Street. Driver William A. Hotaling of Castleton said a grill customer alerted him and that he had failed to release brakes. Police investigated. no serious injuries reported and the truck sustained minor damage.
