By JIMMY SMITH Straight ball is the easiest to throw and control It is recommended for beginners. Many who not infrequently favor it. It is roiled with the thumb pointing directly at the strike pocket or spare, is released without any Swist or Spin being imparted by lnyers or wrist. Delivery should be made from the right corner of the runway with the ball taking a straight course to the ne-three pocket. Best results are obtained when the hit is fairly high on the head pin. This type of ball should be practiced well before attempting other styles of delivery.
