Walker urges unified international program before campaign ends
Walker, continuing from page one, says electing a Congress aligned with a Versailles treaty avoiding stance is as vital as choosing a president with similar views. He expects both parties to craft a uniform international plan, criticizes Democratic opposition for lacking leadership, and backs Roosevelt's Win the War slogan while defending New Deal gains as unmatchable in history.

Massari Confessed Murder Case Proceeds to Trial
The Madison County murder case against Mascari, also known as Joseph Charles Patane, centers on the 1942 death of his wife Rose O Connell near Canastota. He was convicted in March after a three week trial and sentenced to death. A sanity commission found him sane, Gov. Dewey announced the ruling on December 29. The defense plea for reversal was denied by the Court of Appeals the week of October 11. Mascari, identified by glasses and a school pin, led authorities through a series of inconsistent statements before confessing. Anna Lenway, once thought his wife, was involved as a material witness in the case.
