Father Conant family buried in double mass grave
In a St Lawrence River village ceremony at the Methodist Church, Clifford Conant and his seven siblings plus their mother Nancy Anne were laid to rest in two mass graves after a fatal early morning house fire. The grieving father collapsed twice, at the church and at the graveside, as mourners filled the church and waited outside in the rain. The fire trapped the family in their three room frame home. suspects say the mother and children died in their bedroom. The eight victims included Jasen the only other survivor in the family.
