W. H. Bumstead Inc was the winning bidder at the Troy Public Works garage sale of Shure compressors. Bids included 800 for an Ingersoll Rand and 1000 and 50 for two Worthington compressors. Five bidders attended. Commissioner William Luby submitted the bids to the Board of Estimate and Apportionment for approval. Daniel J. Michel represented the municipal Law Department at the auction.

National Guard Chief Named for War Dept Bureau Role
The War Departments National Guard Bureau appointed Miltenberger to lead the National Guard provisional force.
