Axis Sally identified by second GI in treason trial
A second Army veteran testified that Mildred Gillars known as Axis Sally was a Nazi propagandist. John Lynskey of Pittsburg described her visiting a hospitalized veteran and recording messages for relatives. Other witnesses testified about broadcasts and the Red Cross pin, with the trial proceeding in Washington. Thirty skiers killed in Donaueschingen when a bus slid into a crevice near Freiburg.
