Mercy of Secret Police in Occupied Asia Torture Claims
A graphic account describes brutal gendarmerie torture across occupied Asia. Victims report beatings, rack, water cure, kneeling, and other methods, with deaths and mutilation. Noted cases include Kuangson Young in Manila, a British businessman in Hong Kong, and a detective from Shanghai. Prisoners endure denial of medical care and summary executions, while thousands remain unaccounted.
