Hoosick harpsichord maker completes fifth replica
Walter Burr and his wife Berta of Hoosick have finished a fifth authentic harpsichord duplicating the 1760 Benoist Stehlin model. Commissioned by Glen Wilson of the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra, the five figure price is paid by a global client base and Burr maintains a three year waiting list. The couple export world class instruments used in major venues including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.

Buffalo teacher shot on Christmas morning
Cecilia Johnson a 29 year old day care center worker was found shot to death in her bed Christmas morning. Police described her as dedicated and quiet who kept students occupied and in a learning environment. The Erie County Medical Examiner said she died at least 24 hours earlier. Homicide detectives offered no new leads as of Sunday.
