One Dead Continued From Page Nine
Four Mechanicville residents were injured in a late night collision on the Waterford Mechanicville Road near Mechanicville. Edward Deets, Rafael DiMartino, his wife, and their 17 month old son were hospitalized. Deets suffered head lacerations and the baby a mouth cut. The DiMartinos were hurt with a nose injury and knee bruises. A second accident on Honsick Street and Fifth Avenue sent Arnold Betts to Samaritian Hospital with head and side injuries after his car collided with a machine driven by Robert W. Wagar. State Police pursued ownership of the second vehicle.

Train Strikes Auto Killing Four In Ballston Spa
Four men riding in a car were struck by a southbound freight near the Taw Street crossing and dragged 550 feet to Milton Avenue. They were taken to Benedict Memorial Hospital in Ballston Spa. Injured were Brundige with a fractured right leg, internal injuries and shock. Bush with possible fractures and injuries. Watson with shock and possible internal injuries. Cox with facial injuries and shock. The auto was left from Monument Square around 11:30 pm after attending a Christmas party. The freight RW 2, hauling 100 cars, was operated by engineer J B Whalen and crew Hewitt, and others. Hospital reports said the condition of the four improved last night.
