He was World War I veteran in the 82nd Division and a deacon at Mt Ida Community Baptist Church. Survived by a wife Florence Eddy Gazin a son a daughter two daughters a sister two sisters a brother and nine grandchildren. Funeral services Thursday at Mt Ida Church 10 am and Calvary Reformed Hagaman at noon with Rev Garnet O Wright officiating.
A rubbish fire on Adam and River Streets was put out by firefighters who responded to Box 136 at 4 58 p m. The outlap was sounded at 5 05 p m.
An auto parked north of Rensselaer Street was ordered towed by police Tuesday evening for blocking traffic. A ticket for illegal parking was issued.
A three car pile up on the Northway just north of Route 67 in Malta injured three people. Mrs Helga Sharp Antonio Blouin and Earl Sutliff were involved along with Virginia Sutliff. All were taken by ambulance to Saratoga Hospital with Sharp subsequently moved to Albany Medical Center. Trooper M R Cannon investigated.
Florence B. Markham of Myrtle Ave died suddenly at St Marys Hospital after being under a physicians care. A Troy native and Troy Business College graduate, she was a Sacred Heart Church member and Rosary Society participant. She is survived by three daughters, two sisters, 12 grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services set for Thursday at Daniel D Purcell and Son Funeral Home and Sacred Heart Church with burial in St Marys Cemetery.
A Latham youth was arrested Tuesday night after his car collided with a United Traction Co. bus at North and River Streets. The bus driver, George W. Lattimore, 40, reported the bus was stopped at 9:18 p.m. when the youth skidded on snow and struck the vehicle. The youth, Michael A. Meade, 19, lacking an adequate license, was booked for driving without a license and released on bail before appearing in Police Court. Officers Kane and Foy made the arrest.

Russell will serve part time while Conrad Lang becomes deputy county clerk in charge of legal matters. Salary set at 7613 dollars annually. full time DA post starts Jan 1. Russell has long public service roots and is a Troy attorney with three children.

The Troy Urban Renewal Agency reviewed a tentative 1971 budget near $100,000 at its Tuesday meeting. Seven members approved minor revisions and planned a Jan 14 session to formalize the budget and authorize agency operations under city procedures.
A 14 year old Troy girl, Tina Sheehy, received a 1750 settlement approved by Troy City Court Judge Dan G Farano for injuries from a June 21 1968 crash on Madison Avenue involving a car driven by James C Purtell. Sheehy sustained head injuries chest and limb contusions a fractured clavicle and was hospitalized five days at St Marys Hospital.
George F E Henderson 92 died Tuesday at his Easton home after a long illness. Born Wynantskill he lived most of his life in Easton as a retired carpenter and farmer. He belonged to the Washington County Farm Bureau and served as director of the Dairymen's League. Survived by Bertha Wells his wife two children a daughter Natalie Beck and a son Taylor Henderson two sisters and a brother along with 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Funeral 2 p.m. Saturday Garrett Funeral Home Greenwich. Interment Greenwich Cemetery.
Police report two autos were damaged in a crash Tuesday afternoon at Hutton Street and Eighth Streets. Joseph Gross, 56, of 2350 17th St., collided with Lawrence Haywood, 41, of Millard Rd., Box 131. Gross sustained right front fender damage. Haywood had left front damage. Officers James Nelligan and George Costello investigated.
