Court Delays Ruling in Turkey Price Case in Albany
Supreme Court Justice Sidney F. Foster was to decide on an OPA order to restrain George Heckman of Ballston Spa from selling turkeys above ceiling prices. Heckman’s attorney argued a trial term could not hear the show cause order, while the OPA cited jurisdiction. The matter stems from a group of Saratoga County farmers amid the ongoing turkey price dispute as Albany County Farm Bureau officials resist providing a list of turkey farmers.
