Leopold Amery warns industries must shift to meet overseas demand under government plans, prioritizing higher quality and reliability. Harcourt Johnstone stresses rapid overseas staff buildup and market analysis, with success hinging on manufacturer initiative and official support. The New Statesman argues needs and imports must be planned to pay debts and fund exports, opposing unregulated private enterprise.
