Drowned Child Rites Told at Victory Mills

Furecal services were held at Schuylerville yesterday for Nancy Lee Kelly of Victory Mills, a second grade pupil at Schuylerville School who died after falling into a swift waterway at the United Board and Carton Co. The funeral was at 10 A.M. from JP, SIH Funeral Home in Schuylerville, with interment in Schuylerville. Coroner William Hickey of Saratoga Springs ruled accidental death by drinking.

East Greenbush Opens Bids For Junior High Project

East Greenbush Central School District invites bids for a 2.25 million junior high school to be built on the former East Greenbush Airport site. W Parker Dodge Associates of Rensselaer are the architects. About 14 firms study the specifications for each trade including heating, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical work. The project will house 1000 seventh through ninth graders at Columbia High School in East Greenbush.

Stillwater Christmas Family Program Sees Wide Church Involvement

The Stillwater United Church held a Sunday Christmas Family Program at 4:30 with many children and parents attending. Worship and drama featured the devotional service “Because Jesus Came” and the Westminster Fellowship drama “The Christmas Vote.” A choir formed by the 1% lawship performed, with music by Mrs. Sidney Hewitt and David Howland. The play was directed by Mrs. Kenneth Kimball and listed numerous participants. The Christmas tree in Fellowship Mall bore many gift pairs donated by families for American Friends Service Committee projects. Refreshments followed, and the Watmly/Weshwinster Fellowship provided a lighted scene. Firemen To Meet: The Arvin Wart Fire Go monthly meeting is set for 8 pm at the fire house on Campliedl road, with refreshments by listed hosts.

Christmas and club meetings wrap up week

Ray Nelson and others attended the 441 Club and 44 Club at Karen Bacon’s home with Carol’s regular party. New member Martha Clweh welcomed. gifts and refreshments followed. Various church and community groups then scheduled Christmas parties and events through week, including United Church meetings, junior choirs, and a Card Party at Surle School with prizes and refreshments.
