Navy Group Tours Arsenal Facilities in Watervliet

A group of 22 Navy students and professor F. Broadwell toured Watervliet Arsenal to review electrical system setup for a large installation. Leroy Grant outlined the new electrical distribution plan while demonstrations showed chrome plating and cold working of gun tubes led by E W Potter and T E Davidson.

Blume Auxiliary Ships Christmas Donations Amid Party Plans

The Blume Post Auxiliary voted Wednesday to donate to a party fund for Veterans Hospital Albany VFW Children’s Home Ratul Rapids Mich and Boys Town. Gifts will also be given to hospitalized post and auxiliary members. Mrs Grace Hoyt presided and Mrs Christie DeWar validated the books. Meanwhile Evelyn Baker of 11% Ida Sl Troy received a suspended sentence after appearing before Waleyville City Judge William McDermill for leaving the scene of a traffic accident.

World War I Auxiliary Elects Staff in Rensselaer County

Mrs Amy G MacPhee was elected president of the Rensselaer County World War I Auxiliary succeeding Mrs Sthel Posniewski at the annual meeting held at Posniewski's home. Other officers elected include Milfred Nestico senior VP Mark Engle junior VP Harriet E LaBean treasurer Posniewski secretary Rose Ones chaplain Blanche Vandecar conductor Edith Nickerson steward Clara Quinn historian Helen Krawetz biotic instructor Tones Juslee. Officers to be installed January 16 at Ray Ryan's Tamestead Restaurant with Mrs Leslico as dinner chair. New bylaws adopted and hospital reports given. Next meeting February at the YWCA.
