Mail Volume Increases 80 Per Cent in Cohoes Post Office
The weekly Christmas mail volume at the Cohora post office rose 80 percent from last year. Postmaster William J. Trombley reported 300 to 400 parcels handled daily at parcel post windows. He praised Cohoes residents for mailing at recommended times between 8 a.m. and 12 noon and 1 to 5 p.m. to avoid jams. Overseas shipments must be mailed by December 15. An annual officers election for the Cohoes club is set at the clubhouse on Meadow Street.
