Zoning Board Tables Tavern Variance In Cohoes

The Zoning Board of Appeals tabled Lea Shepard's variance appeal for extending a tavern at 249 Remsen Street in City Hall. In other actions Daniel Page's variance for a two car garage at 120 Linden Avenue was approved. Marsina Domini's variance to create two lots at 80 Ard Street was approved. Joseph Bradley's signage request at 04 106 Remsen Street was denied.

Bracken Joins CENTO Maritime Exercise in Persian Gulf

Youth Night sparks at Cohoes schools this December

Cohoes plans Youth Night beginning December 12 at Lansing and Van Schaick schools with activities from 6 to 8 p m. The program includes basketball, movies, quiet games, sleigh riding and skating for kindergarten through sixth grade in a community effort led by the Cohoes Recreation Department.

Meals on Wheels seeks emergency drivers in Waterford

Five or six drivers willing to deliver meals on short notice would be posted at Grace Church if a proposal from a Meals on Wheels meeting is adopted. Interested individuals should call Dr. Paul Grattan, publisher of the Waterford Wheeler.

New York Telephone files tariff modifications subject to Public Service Commission review to permit connection of certified customer-provided telephones and add protective circuitry for key systems. Effective date proposed as January 5, 1978. Customers pay standard access and extension charges with a $1.00 monthly credit per customer-provided telephone.

Three named to courts office

Three men were appointed to positions in the Office of Court Administration by Supreme Court Justice Richard J. Bartlett. Pho Poklemba will serve as associate counsel in Albany focusing on criminal court matters. Andrew Young will be a legal assistant in New York City headquarters.
